The HUNTER COLLEGE CHOIR is a mixed
chorus (SATB) of approximately 75-100 singers performing
music from all periods (a cappella and with orchestra).
There is both a Day and Evening Section of the College
Choir and participation is open to members of the
NY metropolitan area and all students, staff and faculty
at Hunter College. An audition is required, though
prior choral experience and registration at Hunter
College is not a pre-requisite for participation in
either section of the College Choir.

AUDITIONS for
the COLLEGE CHOIR will be held during
the first week
of classes, starting January 26th!
Rehearsals:
DAY SECTION:
Mon & Thurs 1:10-2:25 PM, starting January 26th
(Audition on 1/26 and 1/29)
EVENING SECTION:
Thursdays only 6:00-8:30 PM, starting Janaury 29th
(Audition on 1/29)
Location: Room 635HN (North
Building of Hunter College)
Directions: Use entrance
on 69th Street between Park and Lexington. Take the
elevator to the fifth floor, turn left as you leave
the elevator, go through the double doors and turn
right. At the end of the hallway is a flight of stairs.
Room 635 is at the first landing.

The Hunter College Choir is actually
two choirs! The day
section rehearses twice a week,
Monday and Thursday (1:10-2:25) while the evening
section of the Hunter College
Choir rehearses on Thursday evenings only (6:00-8:30).
Members of the community or students who work during
the day chose the evening section because of convenience
of time and location while others find the day section
can easily be combined with many interesting courses
in the music department or college. For
those interested in registering for credit, please
consult the registration codes below:

CHAMBER SINGERS is a group of
12-16 mixed voices performing the repertoire of the
Middle Ages, Renaissance and Baroque periods, often
performing with the accompaniment of early instruments
(recorders and viols). Participation is open to
members
of the NY metropolitan area and all students, staff
and faculty at Hunter College. An audition is required
but registration at Hunter College is not a pre-requisite
for participation.
